On November the 14th we gathered at the sports cage to remember the dead of all wars and also remembered by name those who have died on our estate in the last two years

MOST PEOPLE ON THE ESTATE WILL KNOW FAMILIES WHERE PAYING FOR FOOD AND RENT IS A PROBLEM.
WE HAVE SOME LINKS WITH FOOD SHARING NETWORKS BUT NEED TO FIND WAYS TO LINK THE FOOD TO THOSE WHO NEED IT. YOUR THOUGHTS WOULD BE WELCOME!

A CARNIVAL THAT HELPED TO MEET
NEW FACES ON THE ESTATE

We were delighted with the opportunity to put on a mini carnival on the car park in front of the old Leonard Cheshire Centre - soon to be demolished  to make way for 106 new homes on the estate.
This was our wake up call after COVID restrictions were lifted.

Without a Notting Hill Carnival this year we thought we would do our own for Surrey Lane. So we got Carney's involved, we got help from temporary residents in the Centre, did a bit of fundraising so that we could put on a barbecue, bouncy castle, a fire eater (above) as well as face painting, games, boxing, bubbles and skipping. Not forgetting Nelson and Andrew on drums!

From a council letter to residents in April this year...........
It is currently anticipated that the tender process will commence in the first week of May, with the appointment confirmed in the Autumn and works expected to commence in the early part of 2022. We will provide further detailed communications in the coming months and there will also be an opportunity for residents to attend a ‘meet the contractor’ event.
